The Committee is in the final stages of completing the West Virginia Practice Handbook. This comprehensive reference manual was first published over twenty-five years ago and last updated by the Committee in 1996. The new three volume set covers over thirty topics of West Virginia law. The cost for the new set will be $245.00 and orders can be placed by using the attached form or by visiting the State Bar web site. It is anticipated that the Handbook will be updated on an annual or at least bi-annual depending on development in case law and statutory amendments. Updates will be sold at a nominal cost.
Obviously, the publication of the Handbook would not have been possible without the help of numerous practitioners in the state who volunteered to either update or completely rewrite chapters. Our appreciation of their dedication of time, the most valuable commodity of a lawyer, cannot be overstated. I would like to take this opportunity to recognize their effort.
