STATE BAR SCHOLARSHIPS

Incoming first-year, Kimberly Martin, graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Virginia
University with a degree in Political Science. She has worked as a paralegal for Burton
& Kilgore in Princeton, WV for the past four years. Kimberly has also worked for
Bayless & McFadden as a legal assistant. She also makes time in her busy schedule to
give back to the community by tutoring.
Rachelle McIntyre in a second-yearlaw student who graduated from Fairmont State
College with a degree in Business and Finance. She has worked as a Conflicts and
Records Clerk for Steptoe & Johnson and volunteered as a music instructor for the
Salvation Army. This summer Rachelle clerked with Jim Matish in Clarksburg, NW.
Tito Basu is currently a third-year law student who graduated from Dartmouth with honors in 1989. He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Duke University in 1995. Mr. Basu received the Pro Bono Politico Award for Service or volunteering with the Appalachian Service Center's Family Law Program. He is President of the National Lawyers Guild and Vice-President of the Public Interest Board.
