RATE OF INTEREST ON JUDGMENTS AND DECREES FOR THE YEAR 2010 -  The rate of interest for the year 2010, for judgments and decrees entered on or after January 1, 2010, is set at 7%.  Click here to review the Administrative Order of the Supreme Court of Appeals.

PHISING SCAMS - The State Bar has again received notice of several phising/solicitation scams. Members need to be careful in responding to any email from an individual they do not know. 
 

REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT -  The Supreme Court of Appeals has entered an order with a proposed amendment to Rule 8, Rules for Admission to the Practice of Law.  The proposed amendment increases the fee paid to The West Virginia State Bar for each individual applicant in each individual pro hac vice admission.  Public comment on the proposed amendment may be filed with the Office of the Clerk, West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, by January 25, 2010.  Click here to review the Order.
